The Emerald Door was fabulous. I had my hair cut (and I am very fussy about my hair) and the cut was spot-on. Deborah cut my hair. Then I had a hair coloring also done by Deborah. My hair had bleached out from mid-blond to very light and it looked very brassy. Deborah chose the EXACT color that I wanted - a lightish brown and it goes very well with my facial coloration. Her assistant (sorry I don't remember her name) was so nice and gave me a great massage as she was washing my hair I am very happy that I went to the Emerald Door and will return for my next appointment. Going there was a fun experience for me.

 

When my hair stylist extraordinaire Deborah from The Emerald Door suggested the Lasio Keratin Straightener I needed to hear more. She explained that this was NOT a straightener in the "dries out your hair so much it begins to resemble a used cotton ball" kind of straightener. Noop, this was a treatment that takes away all the frizz while leaving you with major shine! She said that what she loved most about Lasio was that also was a healing treatment for weak and damaged hair. Well, long story short my hair really is transformed and gorgeous! On the day that I did the treatment is was 96 degress here in New York, but you would never have known it from the looks of my hair....... not one strand of anything that even resembled frizz! My blowout time has been cut by more than half and it never has failed to look beautiful even after almost three months. I'll be doing another treatment in the next couple of weeks (the more than reasonable price tag is also a major plus) and I'm looking forward to a future of much healthier hair condition! Needless to say the compliments just keep on coming! S

I have been going to Deborah for 5 years now for haircuts and highlighting. She is absolutely amazing! Her technique is outstanding. She will personalize any treatment to your needs. She also has spa and nail professional there. Highly recommended for any of these services!
